I recently had my first cockroach experience… and my second and third – all in the same day. Is that good luck by chance? I doubt it.
The first encounter was in the garbage shoot. Ok, I can deal with that. Gross things can live where you put other gross things. Taking out the trash is now solely Mike’s responsibility.
The next was just a drive-by sidewalk cockroach. Ok, no harm there but still disgusting. I think he was wearing heels because I could hear him walk by. Well, maybe it was a “she” but you never know in NYC.
The third cockroach meeting was a little less easy to brush-off. We were out street trash shopping (STS) and we spotted a nice dresser. During the inspection of our found treasure, we opened the top drawer and a cockroach catapulted itself at me. Cockroaches can apparently fly. Noted. I’m not the type of girl that screams but nothing else could come out of my mouth. I survived and we left the cockroach and the dresser on the street.
I’ve met a new enemy I must take on in NYC . His name is “cucaracha,” he’s repulsive and he could be anywhere.
