The 100 Happy Days is a challenge to take a photo every day for 100 days of something that made you happy that day. Then you’re supposed to share it on the source of all happiness: social media. It’s all about enjoying the moment, although making sure to capture and post your happy moment seems like it could take you out of the very moment you’re supposed to be appreciating, but I get the intention to take time to appreciate the little things.
I decided to do my own, more reasonable, challenge. I embarked on 10 OK Days. I found one OK thing that happened every day for 10 days because I can’t remember to do anything for 100 consecutive days and some times the little things are only OK, which is OK.
10 DAYS OF OK
DAY 1: I tried a new mascara, it was OK
DAY 2: I bought the “Hotel Sheets” from Bed Bath & Beyond and apparently they’re from an OK hotel
DAY 3: I almost got Botox but later googled “Botox droopy lid” and I was like, “OK, I’m glad I didn’t do that”
DAY 4: I spilled my coffee all over my shirt, but it was black so it still looked OK
DAY 5: I got 10% off a half-zip running top which is an OK discount on an OK amount of zipper
DAY 6: I got a spray tan and it’s an OK shade of orange
DAY 7: I dropped my laptop but it is OK
DAY 8: Woke up in the middle of the night to the terrifying sound of someone in snow pants running up the stairs but it was just the curtain getting sucked repeatedly into the screen door…so that turned out OK
DAY 9: The eggs in my breakfast wrap from Starbucks weren’t frozen like the morning before, but it still only tasted OK
DAY 10: I drank a bottle of wine by myself and wrote this OK post and I surprisingly feel pretty OK this morning
People who completed the 100 Happy Days reported being in a better mood, receiving more compliments, being more optimistic, and even finding love. My results? I’m feeling OK.
